At the core of Christianity lies the fundamental belief in the sanctity and importance of family. The Bible’s teachings emphasize the significance of family as part of God’s divine plan for His children. Genesis, the very beginning of the Bible, speaks of God’s commandment to “be fruitful and multiply,” underscoring the foundational role of the family (Genesis 1:28).

A core tenet of Christianity transcends denominational boundaries—the understanding that we are all cherished children of God. This profound truth resonates universally, offering spiritual insight to all who seek it.

I have a good friend, Cecilia, who fell away from Christianity; however, I felt inspired to ask her about her relationship with God. She gave me an apprehensive look but she exclaimed, “It is not very good.” Over the course of the next several weeks, she learned of her divinity as a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father. She began to know for herself that our Savior would never abandon her. She became a changed person once she understood her role as a daughter in Heavenly Father’s family. Cecilia’s understanding of Heavenly Father’s love for her led her back to the faith.

This is the cornerstone that offers eternal joy and fulfillment through the teachings of Jesus Christ. It doesn’t matter who you were or what you’ve done; what truly matters is the person you are becoming through embracing the teachings of Christ. The transformative power of the Gospel, centered on Jesus Christ and His redemptive sacrifice, is what offers a new beginning to every individual.

As Christians, it’s our calling to support and guide each other on the journey back to the embrace of our loving Heavenly Father. While it may not always be an easy path, it is undeniably the most rewarding one. It leads us towards the promise of dwelling once more with our families in the presence of God—a journey that encapsulates the beauty of Christian faith and its focus on unity, love, and eternal salvation.
